For Sale Sign Requirements
Mountain Springs Ranch "For Sale" Sign Guidelines (Revised May 2010)
"For Sale" signs that allow property owners to market their properties are allowed in Mountain Springs Ranch. The following guidelines apply;
Signs may be made of either signboard plywood or corrugated plastic.
- Plywood signs are 24" x 24" and must be installed in the ground with wooden supports.
- Corrugated plastic signs are 18" x 24" and are to be contained within a metal frame and installed in the ground with metal supports attached to the frame.
The signs must use the Mountain Springs Ranch logo and colors
Signs may contain any of the following information:
- Available” or “For Sale”
- Area Code and Phone Number
- Contact Name
- Website and/or email address
- Realtor Name, if appropriate
No signage may contain any handwritten information and must be repainted should information change.
All signs must be maintained in good condition and without unique enhancements. Weathered signs or those not properly installed will be removed by the Sign Committee of the Association.
A “sold” sign may be placed above or below the larger sign, but, "For Sale” signs must be removed when the sale is completed.
“Open House” signs are allowed on the day of an open house. The Open House signs must be removed when the house is locked and no longer available for viewing without an appointment.
For Sale Signs may be purchased from any sign maker; however, Professional Graffiti in Wimberley (512-847-3207 or 877-847-3207) has the sign specifications. Their price is $75 for a plywood sign not including installation. Installation cost for a plywood sign is $140 which includes the painted post. A 1/8" corrugated plastic sign costs $50 and a 1/2" corrugated plastic sign costs $65. Both prices include the required metal sign frame. Delivery of any product to Mountain Springs Ranch is $85.
Another sign maker may be used, but the signs must conform exactly to Mountain Springs Ranch specifications.
